One of my beliefs in life is that, if something is meant to be….it will happen somehow. Recently, I’ve been wondering if photography is something that I really want to pursue, or, is it something that should remain as a hobby? With questions in the back of mind, an answer presented itself. A local photographer approached me and asked if I would be available to “second shoot” a wedding for her - well, that will certainly give me the chance to test myself!
I can honestly say I have never been so nervous in my life, however, John and Z’Mira immediately put all my fears to rest. Being witness to someone’s wedding is such a personal invitation - you can’t help but become emotionally attached to the moments that you are photographing.
The day provided a mammoth learning experience for me, giving me a taste of what photography can really be and how it should be achieved. John and Z’Mira - I wish you all the very best as you both explore the ocean horizons together……safe sailing.
