It’s funny how your perception of things can change as your life grows. I can remember as a young girl, watching the summer storms roll in and my whole body filling with excitment. I can also remember as a teenager, watching the same storms approach and hoping it didn’t interfere with our social calendar. Now, as a Mother, if I can sense even an inkling of a summer storm, I prayer that it doesn’t scare the children and wake them from their sleep!
However, the first storm of the season rumbled in as we were cooking a BBQ dinner amongst the great company of our neighbours. So, as dinner burnt and the children went hungry, I grabbed my tripod in hope of capturing the wonders of nature as the heavens opened up.
