A little while ago (read 6 months ago!), Naomi (Naomi V Photography) asked me to come along and assist at the intimate marriage of Melissa and Micah. Their ceremony took place just below the front steps of Melissa’s parents home, meaning that whilst the guests mingled around the family home, we could disappear off into the bush that surrounded the property.

This was a special afternoon session to mark the beginning of a whole new wonderful life for “L” and “Little L”. With “Little L” being on the younger side of toddler hood, I thought it would be a great idea to enlist some feathered distractions into our shoot…………yeah wonderful wisdom that was!! ”Little L” and the ducks certainly had each others attention (for the entire time) but the “quack quack quacks” that were being uttered to each other was beyond heart melting!!!
Wishing you both the very best for your bright futures “L” and “Little L”, I had a wonderful afternoon with you both and I will never, ever look at a duck “quacking” again and not smile!!

Well this couple is closer to celebrating their first Wedding Anniversary than their actual wedding day, but thought I should catch up with my blogging none the less!! Naomi V (from Naomi V Photography) asked me along to capture the wedding of Kim and Derek, and to say we had a whole lot of fun is definitely an understatement!!
This bouquet has been the most memorable bouquet I have ever photographed! At first the thought of having miniature Agave (yes, succulents!) in a wedding bouquet raised my eyebrow a little, however the overall effect was just amazing! The weight of this bouquet had to be felt to be believed though!!

And Derek learned that sometimes when a bride requests a jumping shot…..she means JUMP!!

I love catching up with old friends and finding them so happy and at peace with their life - and the very example of this is Cassie and Adam. I knew Cassie way back when we were BOTH a lot shorter (strangely enough, one of us didn’t seem to grow too much taller!!) and was thrilled to hear the news when Adam whisked her away on holiday with one special bended knee question.
Cassie and Adam will be walking down the aisle later this year but if their engagement session is anything to compare, their wedding is going to be one very relaxed and full of laughter event - one to especially look forward to!
Cassie, was great to see you after all these years and a pleasure to meet you Adam!
