Every newborn that I photograph is very special to me, however this little bundle is one of the most important that I have ever had the pleasure to spend time with. At three-and-a-half weeks old, introducing Sophie Hope - and “hope” is what this little girl has bought to this beautiful family.

Well if it’s true when they say “it’s all in the eyes”, little H and J are both in for a wonderful few years ahead of themselves! These two gorgeous little men were an absolute delight on Saturday morning and already seem to have a very special bond between them. To see two brothers so aware of each other and showing so much appreciation for each other, truly warms my heart!! Isn’t it amazing that as a child you wish away the days waiting for a Birthday or Santa to arrive….but then you hit adulthood and you begin to wish that the days would slow down just a touch so you could catch your breath!!! So, as another year is quickly passing me by, I would love to take the time to stop and thank each and everyone of you who read my blog, offer support or has even braved stepping in front on my camera this year. At the start of the year I could have never guessed the road that this photography journey would be taking me on, and I have truly loved every second of it!!
But, as I guess with all journeys, they have unexpected detours along the way, and for those who know us, would know that our middle son Ethan has not had the best year of health. And as I’m sure you will all understand, his cares suddenly became my priority and focus - not leaving too much time for Heart & Soul Photography.
However, 2010 is looking up! The new year will see the long awaited release of the Heart & Soul website, the beginning of a personal project for myself that I hope to be able to reach out and give a little bit back, as well as many promotions and modelling opportunities!
So, as they say in those marriage vows I hear so often - thank you for sticking by me in sickness and health, good times and bad! I hope that 2010 is as prosperous for you and your families as it is going to be for us!

A little while ago, Carissa from Grazac Photography asked me to accompany her to Sean and Jacinta’s wedding day, not because she needed the assistance, but because she was in danger of delivering her gorgeous son-to-be! At 36 weeks pregnant, Cass was still running after the beautiful Jacinta on her special day, with me being in the shadows “just in case!”
As predicted I wasn’t needed, but it was an honour to witness Jacinta and Sean’s day.

On Monday I had the absolute pleasure of standing amongst the privacy of a gorgeous hinterland hideaway, and witnessing the marriage of Tanya-Lee to Kathy. As the girls read their vows there weren’t too many dry eyes amongst us all! After months of meticulous planning by Tanya, the afternoon was a very relaxing time spent with their closest friends and family.
